Back in July 2001, Milton Keynes UTA Taekwondo had the honor of hosting a special Squad Training Session led by Master Peter Johnson (5th Dan) alongside our own Master Constantino Cesar. This event brought together dedicated students from both Milton Keynes and Stoke-on-Trent, providing an opportunity to refine techniques, exchange knowledge, and improve competition skills.

The session was divided into junior and senior training groups, covering vital aspects such as footwork, evasion, sports kicking techniques, pad work, sparring, and an in-depth explanation of WTF competition rules. Participants also gained insights into scoring, hand signals, and deductions to enhance their performance in competitive Taekwondo.

With over 18 students in the junior session and a highly engaged senior class, the training day was a great success, reinforcing the importance of regular squad training to keep skills sharp and encourage camaraderie between clubs.

This event was part of the club’s ongoing commitment to excellence, with Master Constantino Cesar and Master Peter Johnson preparing for an upcoming trip to Korea for further advanced training with the UTA and Grandmaster Shin.

Moments like these remind us of the rich history of Star Martial Arts and the dedication of both instructors and students in growing their Taekwondo journey. Stay tuned for more historical highlights from our journey! 🥋🔥

With gratitude,
Star Martial Arts
