Yesterday (Saturday 29th April 2023) was a momentous day for the Star Tigers martial arts team, as students gathered to take part in their belt examination. The young martial artists showcased their dedication and hard work as they sought to advance to new levels in their training.

The students were attentively focused on the tasks at hand, demonstrating their ability to listen and follow instructions to perfection. With unwavering confidence, they each used the correct part of their hand to break wooden boards in a true display of skill and strength.

In addition to showcasing their powerful board-breaking techniques, the Star Tigers also demonstrated their mastery of basic self-defence movements. The students exhibited precise hand techniques and powerful kicks, leaving no doubt that they were well-prepared for their belt advancement.

The day was not just about the students, as even the parents had an opportunity to join the young martial artists on the mat. Participating in special hand combination exercises, the parents got a taste of the rigorous training their children go through, fostering a stronger bond and understanding between them.

As the event drew to a close, the Star Tiger mascot took centre stage to present the new belts and certificates to the proud and deserving students. The atmosphere was electric as the students beamed with joy, knowing that their hard work and dedication had paid off.

The success of the day could not have been possible without the support and assistance from the junior members, senior martial artists Sarah and Helen, and Master Alison. A special thank you goes out to FitBody Milton Keynes for their partnership and continuous support of the Star Tigers program.

Yesterday’s event was a true testament to the resilience, determination, and passion of the Star Tigers martial arts team. With new belts in hand, the students are ready to face the challenges ahead, as they continue their journey towards martial arts excellence.
